Pale Statue by Devin Pavlischak/ December 4th, 2015 ©

Out there in the bay, shallow to the mud.

A hero in disguise, blue eyed and courageous.

The water has faded, clear in the twilight.

Glimmering eyes to the moon, in a foreign pond.

Halting the boat, frozen bronze.

All laughter comes, a man and his metal.

Escaping the lost edge, his memory is gone.
