Quiet Looks by Devin Pavlischak/ September 27th, 2015 ©

In the halls, around city corners.

Two modest indifferent figures, taking in everything.

Seconds on edge, as everything comes in lies.

We’re lying to ourselves, it’s fun to laugh.

The warm laugh inside, serving to remind us.

Quietly quoting lovely hope, in a possibility of friendship.

We turn corners just at last, one of us runs back.
